In August, while holidaying in Nice, France, I took a day off to visit Monaco.
The easiest way to get there is by train and the ride is quite scenic.
Monaco made me feel so poor, I felt like I should not have even been there… LOL.
When you leave the train station you are directly facing Port Hercule, its just like when you see it during the Monaco Formula 1 GP. The boats are amazing, you could spend hours just gazing at how luxurious they are.
From there I took a walk to head to the beach. I made a point to walk along the seaside, the views are stunning.
When you walk, you have to walk through Tunnel Larvotto, the famous tunnel during the Formula 1 GP. It is shorter than I thought.
From there stroll down Avenue Princesse Grace and find a spot on the beach to gaze at all the rich and famous all day.
The beach is small but lovely, no waves and shallow, perfect to tan all day and cool off with a quick dip.
All in all, I wouldn’t stay overnight in Monaco, don’t think its worth the price you’ll pay unless you are watching the Formula 1 GP.
A day will suffice and leave you depressed at how poor you actually are.
